Question: What is important to IATSE?

Answer: Their Constitution seems to tell all! There are more than 100 pages!

IATSE has dedicated over 27 sections of their rule book to the trial of its members!
As a union member, you will be required to follow all the rules of the IATSE Constitution. If you break any of the rules, you can be charged and tried.
IATSE can hold a trial of a union member regarding any violation of the Constitution and may reprimand, fine, suspend or expel the member (see Constitution pps. 30-33). Union fines are enforceable in court.
If the Union puts a member on trial, they can't hire a lawyer to represent them, only another Union member can act as their "lawyer". (see Constitution p. 32 section 16).
